In college, I had an obsession with going to the little coffee shop in the school's cafeteria and getting myself a steamer in the cold winter months. Since then, I have come to discover just how much sugar I was consuming in that little steamer, and have been a bit horrified by it. However, I still crave hot yummy drinks when it's cold, so I did some experimenting and came up with this healthy Pumpkin Pie Steamer. It literally takes 2 minutes to whip up and is super great at warming you from the inside out.
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 tsp Postum
2 tsp pumpkin puree
1-2 tps Pure Maple Syrup (I use 1 tsp but if you like things sweet than go for 2)
1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice.
Dollop of coconut cream (optional)
Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Put all the ingredients in a small pot and whisk together while it boils. After it's boiled and all the ingredients are incorporated, pour the steamer into a cute mug (don't miss this step, it's crucial to getting the perfect steamer.) and enjoy!
You can top with a little coconut cream, a dash of cinnamon and a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie. (It pairs perfectly with cheesy Christmas movies)
